Serve Nepal (Disaster Relief)

The Challenge & Response

On August 26, 2026, devastating flash floods struck northern Nepal along the Bhote Koshi River system, causing widespread destruction across mountainous communities. Homes, roads, bridges, hydropower facilities, and other critical infrastructure have been damaged or destroyed, leaving families displaced and many communities struggling to access basic necessities. The scale of the disaster continues to develop as search, rescue, and relief operations remain underway.

Serve Nepal will purchase and distribute household relief kits and essential supplies to families in the general flood-affected area of northern Nepal (Bhote Koshi / Trishuli region). Distribution will be carried out with Nepal field partners. Planned assistance includes food staples and essential food bags, cooking support as available, shelter items (tarps, tents, and blankets), hygiene items, and solar chargers to help displaced households meet immediate needs after the 26 August 2026 flash floods. Funds raised will be used to purchase relief supplies locally or regionally, cover transport to affected communities, and modest documented field costs of distribution.
